I really wanted these socks to be comfortable and soft when I first wore them, but after a few minutes they started making deep dents in my legs . I even bought 2 sizes, medium and large, but the same thing happens every time. In the end I gave all the socks to my kids. If you have wide calves don't worry about them as they WILL BUFF. They are good quality but not worth the hassle of wearing them. I found I was constantly adjusting them on the leg to only get deep cuts. If I wanted compression stockings I would look for them instead. I only kept them because I didn't want to return a pair of socks I was wearing. Now I'm the unfortunate owner of $50 tube socks, but at least my kids have benefited from the purchase. They fit pretty snugly even on my wide foot, they sit well in the toe and arch but not where the elastic is from the ankle up. Waaaa too tight for me.
