Works great and just what I was looking for. Each socket can be programmed to any button on the remote control with a simple process. And they don't have to be the same on either of the two included remotes. That is, you press and hold the "power" button on the outlet until it flashes, then press the button on the remote that turns it on/off. You must then repeat the process for remote number two. This is an additional step, but it works for any remote configuration you want. For the sake of simplicity, I've programmed my remotes to be the same. Additionally, the remotes run on two standard AAA batteries, which is welcome. All off button also handy for not just turning off the lights but any other device you want to turn off - I use it for a powered subwoofer. It's nice to get out of the room and just press the button to turn everything off! A blue light illuminates on each socket when you turn it on - it's not a bright light, but since that light doubles as a button it's awkward if you want to disguise it. If you're looking for a dark room, keep that in mind. On the downside, these things are also pretty big and only oriented in one direction - they'll block other outlets unless you go all out and use extension cords or some other workaround. . I am using a replacement Belkin 8 outlet 8 outlet home/office power strip with 6ft cord and phone/coax protector, 3550J (BE108230-06) and I can only install 3 of them there. But it works reliably, and that's the most important thing.
