I used to have aprons with buckles, so I was thrilled with this apron! It's slightly longer than a standard apron and the little pocket is perfect for straws. The zip pocket is a good idea for personal items but seems to make the underside of the apron less durable. Only 3 layers. There was a hole in the bottom of my apron and after a week the hole was big enough that my server book slid right out of the bottom rendering the apron unusable. I splurged on an apron because I wanted a buckle again and all other features were good, but for the money it should definitely last more than a week. My $5 aprons have lasted for years.
