These are amazing shoes. My favorite pair of shoes in the water and on land. They're stylish enough to wear and look cool in the water. I carry my kayak fishing and visit many beaches and oyster beds. Shoes let in some small particles like sand, but they drain well. After using them a few times I bought my wife a pair and she loves them too. I've fallen into slippers many times while getting off the boat and still haven't slipped in them. I actually dread the day they stop making them and I might have to stock up on a few pairs in my closet. After every kayak trip I just rinse mine off in the shower and they still look pretty new despite having used them a lot.
