The Rexing V3 Plus comes with two low profile mounting brackets that attach to the windshield with 3M double sided tape. I felt that using bonded mounting brackets was sub-optimal for a number of reasons, including achieving the optimal camera angle (elevation angle) which is dictated by the angle of the windshield and the impossibility of moving the mounting brackets to a different location or to move. Position on the windshield, potential adhesive failure due to temperature given the extreme temperatures the windshield is often subjected to, and the limitation of DVR installation to just two vehicles unless additional adhesive mounts are purchased for additional vehicles (and whatever the precludes using the DVR in others). Vehicles such as rental cars or cars rented from the car dealer etc.) An obvious solution to the above limitations and disadvantages is the Rexing suction cup mount. The suction cup mount easily adjusts to move the DVR. between multiple vehicles and makes it easy to move the dash cam on the windshield to get the optimal mounting position for camera visibility, driver accessibility and preventing driver vision degradation. The large suction cup ensures a secure hold on the glass. Rather than just pushing/pushing the back of the suction cup, there is a lever on the mount that squeezes the rubber suction cup and "locks" it in place. The suction cup mount is a swivel mount that allows you to adjust the angle of the dash cam over a wide range. The joint part is fixed to the bracket at the selected angle with a knurled adjusting nut. I find this feature particularly useful and useful as the DVR lens height adjustment has a limited range which may not be enough when using adhesive mounting brackets. By using the height adjustment of the suction cup mount in combination with the height adjustment of the dashcam lens, I can quickly and easily achieve the perfect camera angle in any vehicle. After installed on the windshield, the suction cup mount sticks to the windshield very firmly with strong suction. To remove the DVR from the windshield, you must release the lever holding pressure on the rubber suction cup. However, the handle is usually so strong that you also have to lift the small "ear" on the rubber suction cup away from the glass in order to release the suction cup. I really like the Rexing suction cup mount. This is the only attachment method I use because it works very well, is flexible and practical. I think Rexing should use a suction cup mount as a standard accessory for their dash cams. I really think this is the best way to mount their DVRs. The only question is reliability and durability as I haven't owned a suction cup mount long enough to make a decision. Of course, I hope the suction cup mount doesn't fail. However, if the suction cup breaks, I will be disappointed, but I will immediately buy another one to replace it. I believe the Rexing Suction Cup Mount is the best solution for mounting the Rexing V3 Plus. So far I am very satisfied and would definitely recommend it.
