Review on 🧲 Magnetic Toys for Preschoolers: Building Fun and Learning by Jonathan Sriubas

Pleasantly surprised!

I am surprised by this set. I spent days reading reviews of all sorts of fake Mag Forms and there was always something I didn't like about them. I bought a fake a few years ago and it was amazing and unfortunately they don't sell the same set here anymore so I had to find something else. The ones I had were mostly unbranded Magformers. So I had high expectations. This set is super fun with fun colors and building options. I felt like we got the best bang for the buck with this set compared to others I've looked at. They are fully compatible with the current set we have. They seem cheaper and not as strong BUT they have a very strong magnet and hold up well. The only thing I don't like about them is that the magnet is on the outside and not inside like the others. Therefore I would not recommend it for children under 2 years old due to choking hazard. They're a bit wider than ours, but still compatible! Overall I'm happy with this product and I'm glad they work well with my other set so I assume they will work with any other set. That would be a great gift! I've attached photos of both sets working together, as well as a comparison between the pieces to see the difference in size/thickness, but they still work together.

Pros
  • The magnets are encapsulated in stainless steel parts, which allows direct contact of the magnets, making the magnet blocks with a much stronger magnetic field and the models more durable and stable.
Cons
  • Big and chunky
