New product arrived. Standard 2" PVC pipe is ideal. I installed two steel grommets and connected them to the flag grommets with chain grommets. I drove at 70mph for over 40 minutes, no problem. The only downside would be the quality of the flag grommets. A nice and solid mount, it wobbles a bit in the 2" mount, but a bit of tape wrapped around it will increase the diameter, no problem. Don't believe negative reviews. I also wouldn't use zip ties to hold the flag in place. Spend your extra dollar and buy steel grommets.
