Review on ESD High 🔥 Temperature Mat Kit from Bertech by Sean Patel

Good product, easy to fold and store, easy to use. It comes with a wrist strap, ground wire, and the mat with two button jacks mounted on adjacent corners. The product description doesn't mention this, but the ground wire is the same as that listed under Grounding the Alphastat desk pad. The kit consists of a universal latch kit and a 15 foot 1 Mbps low profile grounding cable. This wire is used to connect the mat to ground. It has a ring terminal that you connect to the center screw on the socket cover. A side note is that I would have preferred the strap to have a button closure at the end rather than an alligator clip. I love having a clean workspace and it's a little annoying that their superduper long ground wire is disconnected just so I can have a safe connection to the mat. I understand that the alligator clip makes the strap more useful for people working alone with computer towers, but the strap is intended as a mat accessory and the specs should reflect that. I'm still giving 5 stars because it's a good rug, but be aware you can find more useful accessories elsewhere.
