They don't break on metal, but on wood.
Maybe it's my fault for not reading the description carefully, maybe it's the seller's fault for poorly describing this product. In this paragraph, self-tapping screws are indicated, and then wood screws. I never knew wood screws aren't self tapping, they shouldn't be used with metal. They're not my definition of self-tapping.
