Meets expectations. Got 29 in your waist. I ordered size 30 and it fits perfectly. Comfortable enough, no complaints. The quality is ok/good. The first pair lasted about 1 year of salt and chlorinated water training before the fabric started to come off. Then ordered navy blue/gold, after about 1 week of swimming in the chlorine pool the gold stripes were completely gone. However, I don't wear them for style reasons, so it's not really a problem. Speed/Resistance - These are great for training. If you're really concerned about shaving a few tenths of a second off your race time, you should probably look elsewhere. Overall this is a decent product for the price. If you swim regularly, you'll probably live in it for a year before you have to look for another pair.
