Nice castle. Adds confidence to my car

Great for my 1970 VW Baja Beetle. I've been using it for a few months now. No major problems so far. Overall I'm happy with them. I replaced my old hood pins with these. Now I don't have to worry about people opening my hood when I'm not around. "Keep honest people honest," my father used to say. Sometimes people get overly curious when it comes to classics unless you're parked in a show setting. They mean no harm, they just want to see. I'd rather ask than take responsibility for opening my hood. I had to make a custom bracket to install locks on my car. This was done when I was restoring the car. These locks fit directly into the same bracket. With difficulty we managed to install new locks on the pins under the hood. Since there is no way, I had to do a lot of measuring and guessing to close the gap between the latches on the hood and the bolts in the bracket inside the trunk. It took me a lot of time. However, installing your app will likely take less than an hour. The only thing I'm not sure about is the ingress of water and dirt into the lock through the keyhole. Too bad they didn't put a rubber seal at the top of the lock to keep dirt and water out. There is a rubber grommet on the top of the hood to protect the paint and seal the lock hole from leaks. Works perfectly. When lubricating the locks I recommend using only a very light oil such as silicone spray. Easy to clean and re-grease. One of my locks was difficult to turn. This helped with this issue. The locks are not pre-lubricated except what I can tell. I believe the locks have small drainage holes next to the lock slot locking pins. Because of this, you can get a few drops through the locks. I don't usually ride in the rain. I also didn't check for water dripping through the locks. You might want to consider this. Depends on where you put the locks.
