Excuse my bad spelling and grammar, I'm lazy. This is a recap of day one. So don't forget that I don't know what durability is yet. Please note that this review is for Acer ED273 ------> "Abidpx" <------ (black, 144Hz refresh rate). NOT Acer ED273 ------>"Wmidx"<------ (White, 75/60 Hz refresh rate) Yes, they are two different models with different refresh rates, but they are usually confused. anything but ideal. It's huge compared to my old monitor. 27 inches are perfectly adequate for a desktop monitor. - The 144Hz refresh is so smooth it's weird. - 1080p is still crystal clear. Yes, you can see the pixels if you look sideways at the screen from a distance of 6 inches, but only then. I'm not a videophile, so I don't really care about perfect colors. However, the color, contrast, and brightness on this monitor are striking to my plebeian eyes. The curve is very beautiful. not so extreme that it all feels awkward or "wrong", but enough to really feel the difference and it's awesome to experience. it looks modern and elegant. Adjusting monitor brightness and what not is easy and intuitive. DISCLAIMER: I haven't played around with the internal speakers yet. I use external speakers for my sound so I can't comment on how good or bad they are. Therefore, this review focuses on a good, cheap, stylish and functional monitor. NO ON. Bonus: the monitor comes with a good HDMI2.0 cable as well as a DisplayPort cable (don't know which version but it's good for 1080p@144Hz). IF something notable changes about this device in the future (like it gets up and dies one day or something) I will come back and update this review. So if that never changes, then the monitor is still perfect.
