I've been buying and comparing gaming monitor characteristics and characteristics for about 6 months - I wanted: 27-32 inches, curved, 4K and high refresh rates - there are several to compare and rate these characteristics - once I figured that out Types of panels (IPS, VA and TN), Freesync and all, I knew what to look for and at what price - The monitors that Amazon brought that I liked are: a couple of MSI models, Acer, Sceptre, BenQ to name a few - as this is my first major recent gaming monitor refresh rate was as important as quality and resolution and then price - I found that: lots of comparable features from big ones Brands - and different prices - I decided against using 4K as the refresh rate was a nominal 60Hz and faster was too expensive - so I settled on 2K and 144Hz - after careful practice Having considered my space and proximity, 27" would be excellent (that's huge actually) - so I narrowed it down to Acer, Scepter and MSI (features and price) - after reading the reviews all 3 were rated by Rated 4 stars by hundreds of buyers. The MSI models weren't sold through Amazon Prime, took over a week to ship, and were quite expensive (rgb and other quirks) - the Scepter was over $70 more expensive than the Acer. , with the same specs - so I went with the Acer ED273 - recent reviews said the Acer was a very good choice and I agreed it had the best features and price - I was right! It's a great monitor, it worked right out of the box and overall exceeded my expectations. Here are some highlights: Excellent build quality - Overall aesthetic: thin bezel, thin design (no big bumps). ), nice finish, flat matte screen, correct curvature, excellent image quality - the stand is heavy, with a metal base and a reinforced vertical stand and mount (VESA 100). , I'm fine - the port connectors are again bottom centered - this makes it difficult to find and plug in video and power connectors - you also get HDMI and DP cables - no matter how hard I tried, I couldn't find any Information on this is given by the length of the cable (my desktop setup requires a longer cable, at least 6ft) so instead of ordering a longer cable I waited and saw if the cables that came with it would work - they don't - they're about 4ft long - a bit short for me - so I used the 6ft HDMI cable I had lying around until I used the 6" DP cable I ordered from Prime (ca currently The refresh is a full 144hz - so overall I'm very happy with the Acer ED273 - the combination of quality, features and price make this an excellent buy - it's double boxed and covered with foam, plastic wrap and protective cloth ckt - 5 star driving!
