Review on Daler Rowney Simply Stretched Canvas 20 3 by Jennifer Roberts

Canvas is a good deal, but don't expect professional results right away. These canvases have almost no weight - the wood feels almost like cork. NEARLY. I planted this on my canvas and the light shines through. There literally can't be more than a thin layer of gesso on this canvas. any oil will saturate the material. what seems brittle. I simply applied a coat of plaster to it myself and it will take another coat before it's ready to take ANY colour. I was trying to save a little time but to be honest I could save even more money and about the same time by cutting my own route. and I would have received a much better product. The thing isn't even stretched as far as it could be. But it's a cheap brand, and maybe I'm just an art snob. To be perfectly honest, they will work just fine, but they DEFINITELY shouldn't say "Triple Ground".
