Like a number of other commenters, I was led to these things by a video post by Old House about renovating a basement. They suggested using these corrugated bolts to hold the battens and styrofoam sheets firmly to the poured concrete wall. They work exactly as they said they would. Fast, cheap, neat and pleasant to drive. My dog doesn't like the sound of the drill or the hammer. As others have said don't mess around with a regular hammer, use something heavier, they need a hard hit. I use my regular hammer to pound the grease through the box until it hits the hole, then switch to hammering.
