Philips offers the BEST lamps in their class. Of course you can try another brand, but why should you? I've replaced a few other lightbulbs on my car in the past. I am replacing a "white" taillight in the back of my Nissan car. When replacing light bulbs, do so in pairs, so you don't just replace the bad one. Soon the other will also disappear and the brightness will be the same for both. Don't forget to switch them in pairs when you're ready.
