They've been out in Ohio for a month in rain, snow, wind, clouds and sun. You still look great. On a sunny day it burns brightly for 7 hours, after a cloudy rainy day 2-3 hours, but that's enough for me. You can move the solar panel in any direction to get maximum sun. I put a large flowerpot in a sunny spot so I could "plant" the solar panel in bright sunshine for a rope that I hung in a shady spot. Zero power and you never have to turn them on or off. Put them on and forget them. It's also a security bonus for me: lots of graduate students and young people live nearby, so my otherwise crime-free neighborhood attracts thieves during the winter break. It makes me feel like I'm inside drinking eggnog, although at least for a few hours I'm not. Ho-ho-ho. I'll bring them soon, and then I'll return to the summer flower garden.
