It's handy and easily cuts through tape and thick plastic. HOWEVER, it's quite flimsy - the plastic case feels like it will crack if you push it too hard. It looks like a cheap disposable item. I love that you can replace the blade (if you buy another of their overpriced blades) but the lock that is supposed to hold the pages together doesn't hold tight and if you're not careful the lock will disengage while you're in it itself in the middle of the cut, and the blade will extend (and sometimes even fly). So, for the sake of simplicity, you'll have to try to find all the pieces and put the damn thing back together before moving on. To cut 3 more boxes or so I would say a regular box cutter will last longer and make you happier in the long run. You can't use it to cut paper like cardboard itself because it's not sharp enough and you'll end up pulling and tearing. This works well for plastic items (except for the rescue blade mentioned above).
