The first time the product arrived damaged so they asked for an exchange and the next day a new product arrived. It works perfectly every time and my son LOVES the dinosaur waffles which he wouldn't share! If you use the right waffle mix, you won't have a problem with a flat surface on one side. I have mixed Japanese Morinaga with my regular waffle mix and it has helped it get fluffier and the perfect shape every time. Easy to clean and use. Just hope they look better in the box (mine was in the original box both times with such poor protection)
