Just received today. As I picked up the box, I heard something rattling inside. Bad sign. I opened the box and found that this device had been opened before. The plastic bag around the waffle maker was unsealed and the power cord was not tied. Packed loose in a box. When I turned on the kettle, a rumble came from under the top lid. Something has clearly come loose and is moving inside. Such a shame.

The first time the product arrived damaged so they asked for an exchange and the next day a new product arrived. Spray with non-stick spray before each batch! Great waffle maker, makes great dinosaur waffles. We use it every day. Washing is a hassle as you have to be careful not to get the inside wet and the plates are not removable. It's pretty standard on all $40 waffle makers, but still just plain annoying. I have a pet waffle maker from the same company and it is easier to fill because it has a larger forming surface than a pet waffle maker. Book and recipes included. It also works well with boxed cake mix. They're not as easy to dip as Animal Friends waffles, but are easier to clean because they're larger. There is no switch or container for the amount of water needed. So if you put in too much mixture, it will overflow and burn. There's still a mixture in there that I can't scrape off from 4-5 months ago. It's gross, but it burned down. Make sure you dry it off with a cloth towel before plugging it in.
