Spray with non-stick spray before each batch! Great waffle maker, makes great dinosaur waffles. We use it every day. Washing is a hassle as you have to be careful not to get the inside wet and the plates are not removable. It's pretty standard on all $40 waffle makers, but still just plain annoying. There's no power button or heat setting, but for some reason the white plastic turned a little brown, like it was burned out. I don't leave it any longer than to reheat and cook, so it might just be smeared with muted nonstick spray. I cook the Kodiak cake mix in a waffle iron for 2.5 minutes and it comes out perfect. If I add blueberries, I do that for 3 minutes for extra moisture.
