We thought about building a traditional fence for our front yard to keep our dog from running around. It was a lot easier to install (I placed it above ground) and a lot cheaper. My dog reacts to the horn setting and I didn't have to use the shock. It took her less than a day to figure out the limits of what was a lifesaver. I have two collars for one dog so I can charge one while using the other. The battery lasts a week so you might not need two. This is a great system at an affordable price. Would recommend to anyone looking for a way to keep a dog in the garden.
