Since I didn't have any diamond coated bits, I took a masonry drill and drilled a circle. What an arduous process it was. This kit comes with a large number of cutters in different sizes from 6mm to 50mm. In some cases where a shallow pilot hole is required, the included pilot template comes to the rescue. You can adjust it to the size of bit you are using and it features steel bearings on all four corners to ensure you get a clean cut. It is held on the tile with a rubberized suction cup with a clamping lever, for example. As with all bits attempting to penetrate hard metal, heat becomes an issue and these bits are no different. Cooling with water is not only beneficial, but also essential to prolong the life of the bit. A few nuts holding the bearings were barely unscrewed, but that doesn't matter. Just hand tighten them. Also in the box, the nut that secured the butt lever bolt was unscrewed. Just stick it on. Once again no problem. This is the kind of set that you don't need to use often, but when you do, it's worth it. Highly recommended.
