If the suction drops off, check the bag.

I have noticed that with this drywall and dirt dust vacuum you need to check the bag frequently as the bag is built inside to resemble a bent pipe and clogs easily. I removed the bag, felt the hose, unclogged it, added a new bag, and continued sweeping. I like this vacuum cleaner, it's not as loud as the big red vacuum cleaner.
