I was a little nervous ordering this as other types of car phone holders have let me down. This one didn't. The pivoting mechanism, which puts pressure on the cup holder to keep it in place, has just enough friction to keep it in place well, and after a couple of days it's still super tight. The gooseneck is extremely durable and not prone to impact or the car driving down the road which is another nice surprise. It's made of hard plastic and looks good. I'll be happy to have this in my car for a while.
