Review on VuPoint PDS-ST470PE-VP Compact Portable Wand Scanner With 1 by Andrew Schobinger

If I could give it 3.5 stars I would. Great document scanner. The amazing feature is that it can scan for several meters (if you even have room to put something flat at that distance). However, this is not so surprising for image scanning. No matter how high I go, there is distortion and a kind of "artificial" pixelation. I've tried scanning very large and downsizing, but the distortion is still very noticeable. It will never be as clean as a bed or drum scanner since you are manually scanning with your hands. The lines aren't even as sharp as in the picture I take with my Samsung Galaxy II. Another thing is that I can't get the computer to read the scanner at all, so I have to pull out the tiny SD card every time. Not a bad buy at such a low price, I think I bought it for around $65 and after using it I wouldn't pay much more than $75 for this product. If your job involves scanning a lot of documents, the convenience is worth the money.
