The image quality of the glass lens is significantly better than the "unbreakable" polished steel lens. Worth the extra dollars. I have used a helmet mirror for many years. More of an electronic assist bike in our small hilly town, I find the helmet mirror doesn't pay attention to approaching cars fast enough. This pair of mirrors will do the job. My only complaint is the vibration. The mirror on the helmet does not vibrate, but the mirrors on the handlebars do vibrate a little. Smoother roads, less vibration.
