Purchased All Black 15 oz. estwing, make sure it is as long as a standard 22 oz estwing. Let me tell you this is a great hammer. It's lighter and hits just as hard as the standard 22-ounce Estwing, but with a sleek new black design. I'm a union carpenter and have used this hammer on concrete forms, scaffolding, interior trim, etc. This is a versatile hammer. what everything does. I have tested this hammer and some other hammers I have on 16d double headed nails. This hammer mated with my standard 22oz Estwing hammer. An aluminum blade works best for driving nails, but aluminum is brittle and will flake off on metal-to-metal contact. This all metal hammer is strong as a nail, I even bent it sideways to pry it off and it didn't hurt at all. The only difference from the original is that the head is flatter on top than round, which might make removing nails out of wood a little more difficult, but still does a good job. Otherwise it works great. Feels good in a lighter weight tool belt. Local 291 Albany, New York.
