Excellent hammer. Very reliable. Sounds weird, but I've had several hammers, not the last, and this one does the job. So I bought another hammer for my assistant.
I've been using Stanley Antivibe for over 25 years, I bought it as I have a lot of restoration work to do. I went light weight and I'm glad I did, the length works great for pulling nails out, lots of leverage and the swing is nice too. Estwing makes great products. Just do a little research on their website and find the hammer/tool that suits you and your application.
The handle does not match the picture. I bought the black handle because it differs from the traditional blue one. It was a few bucks more expensive but it had an eagle on the handle and again the black was unlike any other, although unfortunately the black color shipped promptly before I even used it, a quality I didn't expect from an Estwing -Hammer . was not there.
Good hammer. The head is slightly smaller than the standard 22oz Estwing that everyone loves and is about a quarter inch shorter from the front of the neck to the front of the head. It has great balance, better dampening than the standard 22, and slightly less ringing when you drive a nail in. I use a D metal holder and like to cut a pyramid shape out of the leather so the hammer handle doesn't get stuck and can actually fall out of the holder with this hammer, so I had to modify my holder a…
This hammer feels great and would look incredible if it hadn't arrived with numerous chips on the black surface. I know it will stain and chip with use, but it should be in the best condition when new. I also ordered 19 oz with chopped nut and they also came in the same condition. Both replacement units arrived in the same condition. They were all bubble wrapped so I don't think this happened during delivery to me. I would give these hammers 5 stars if it weren't for the surface chips. I wonder
Good product. I bought 15 oz and 19 oz. The Model 15 came with a grip that was incorrectly molded into the grip, causing the head to be offset over 3/8 inch to the right. Didn't want to retrain the eccentric hammer so it was replaced. but the glossy finish seems destined to go down in history. would have thought a more durable finish or at least the sides of the head where it would smash would be unfinished. nail) much shorter than any hammer I've had, see if it's a punch. Like a nail starter…
Twice I ordered a 15oz textured bezel with a rubber grip and twice I was sent a smooth 19oz bezel with a leather grip. Revain has the wrong item inside the bubble wrap, the outside label is correct when scanned. Here's a rundown of what I actually got: 19 ounce smooth leather covered demolition hammer. That's a big hammer. In fact, you can easily drive several large nails in 1-2 hits. The balance is excellent, although I had to get used to the weight. I really love the nail starter. Works like…
The Hammer is a Guardian, but he has a little problem. This is a quality tool under the thick but easy to peel black paint. The steel hammer is forged from one piece, which benefits the overall strength - and even with hard hits the hammer is absolutely comfortable in the hand. No terrible vibrations! Like many others, mine didn't come equipped with a stunning American Eagle, which pisses me off. If Revain and/or its authorized resellers advertise something as such and include an image showing…
A very good tool. I needed a nail hammer on a 5 inch 12 pitch roof, backing, plastic and metal caps work and match the manufacturer. Requirements - I used a smooth HD head and 9 times out of 10 the nail would either bend or fly out - it had to be hit perfectly to drive the ring shank nails. I used to use milled hammers but they wear out over the years - I got fed up with this problem and ordered a better named hammer and a milled hammer - I like the lighter weight, 15 ounces and the milled…
Purchased All Black 15 oz. estwing, make sure it is as long as a standard 22 oz estwing. Let me tell you this is a great hammer. It's lighter and hits just as hard as the standard 22-ounce Estwing, but with a sleek new black design. I'm a union carpenter and have used this hammer on concrete forms, scaffolding, interior trim, etc. This is a versatile hammer. what everything does. I have tested this hammer and some other hammers I have on 16d double headed nails. This hammer mated with my…
