Review on AKAI MPK Mini MKIII MIDI Keyboard Black/Red by Minoru Koshida ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

A really necessary purchase, I'm glad I found this product.

Has pros: 1) Keys Of course, the standard among midi keyboards for two octaves is Arturia, but these keys are quite pleasant, when compared with other models (I had mpk25), then these keys are much more pleasant to play 2) Pads There are the same pads as in the Akai flagship, they are comfortable, moderately sensitive, at first they are really tight, but after a couple of days of playing they became much more sensitive and they stopped hearing me in the next room 3) Screen Although it is small, it indicates the pressing force of the pads and the values \u200b\u200bof the adjustment of the knobs, which is undoubtedly better than nothing, because few people have a screen in this segment 4) Nobs They are endless (they do not have fixed values and they rotate 360) which is clearly more convenient, made of metal, wide comfortable, the distance between them is comfortable, they play a little, but not essential 5) Build Quality Everything is assembled soundly, monolithic, nothing creaks, does not fart 6) Design The keyboard looks very nice, it is compact, you can always take it with you 7) Price I ordered from Germany, so the price in 8K is generally excellent + white and black colors Got cons: 1) Screen functionality Most likely in future versions it will be made more functional, but now it is only needed to display the value of the keyboard itself. It has the BPM value of the arpeggiator, but in no way can it be tied to the sequencer, it's also a bit inconvenient. Fader values from 0 to 127 cannot be numerically tied to the value of the indicator in the program (for example, you will have to estimate the volume from -50 to +6 on a scale from 0 to 127 and adjust it that way). In general, even a screen of this size could be made more functional.
