Review on πŸ”© Polyurethane Material Handling Products: High-Quality Swivel Casters with Caster Wheels by Josh Flanagan

Revainrating 5 out of 5

A good quality roller works well with strength training equipment.

These little 2 inch polyurethane wheels are rated at a whopping 300 pounds each. I have installed them on three different machines with great success and satisfaction. The first set of 4 was mounted on a CAP Barbell CAP Barbell Plate Rack, 1" Black, which has a 300 lb capacity, so a 4 wheel set will likely last for many years at least. Typically it carries between 100 and 280 lbs weight.and even on a thin mat the rack rolls easily, extends slightly when in use and then slides to the side when done.was perfect for who wants to lug around 300 pounds of weight just to run a vacuum or put a shelf in a cabinet? So pleased with the first set, the second set was ordered for the CAP Barbell/Utility Rack. This rack has 1.5" wide legs and the wheels have a 2" wide mounting plate so they can be mounted in a 45Β° Angles and two upturned corners have been fitted This gives two screws in from the bottom and two from the side (see videos in the photos) This rack also holds 300lbs so these wheels are unlikely to ever wear out will. Again, the rack rolls in and out of the closet very easily, remains stable and can be rolled up to the weight bench. Where they are needed. Again pleased with the results, another set was installed on the collapsible dumbbell/bench bench. The bench itself only weighs about 40 pounds or so, but is awkward to carry around and stow away in a closet. A lower rated wheel could have been used, but the bench has to support my weight (200 pounds) plus the weight of the barbell I use to bench press (40 to 80 pounds) for the price of these rollers. , they weren't difficult to use, I was concerned about the stability of the stand with the wheels underneath but I was able to. There is no difference if the bench is used before or after the casters are installed. All in all, these wheels make the set of kettlebells and exercise equipment very easy to handle. One day the guests were staying in a room normally used for sports purposes, so all three shelves were moved down a long corridor to the master bedroom for several days. Made so easy. Imagine having to unload all the kettlebells and dumbbells from the racks, carry them down the hall, ride one ride after the other, and then load the racks back up with weights. Although each wheel is rated at 300 pounds, I'm a bit skeptical about this. they will actually have a long service life under maximum loads. But other than that, they make a well-constructed impression. Only criticism is that the 2x2" mounting plate can be machined out of slightly thicker steel. It's also worth noting that the wheel axle is secured with a ny-lock nut. On two of the four sets of rollers, the axle was very tight, causing the wheels to move didn't move easily. The solution was to just loosen the nylock nut a half turn. The third set was too loose so the nut was tightened.Because it's a nylock nut it stays where it was In these applications, my main concern has been the stability of heavily loaded shelves and benches, but I don't find any stability issues, so I highly recommend them for this application.
