Decent $23 DMM in tester

Thanks to advances in integrated circuit technology, we now have VERY accurate and inexpensive gauges. This DMM is as accurate as my Fluke and BK test tools and is suitable for all home, car and workshop applications. Benefits: $23. Accuracy. Comes with a zip case. any function position transistor tester REL function (relative) works with AC/DC voltage, current, temperature and hFE transistor measurements Cons: Automatic LCD backlight Stand is very fragile and can break very easily trying to measure gain factors (hFE) of the transistor group to adapt quickly. Example: You need to measure the gain of the reference transistor and then press the REL function key to store this measurement. All transistors measured near zero are the same gain measurement as the difference is shown on the LCD in REL functional mode. The included zippered pouch is handy for keeping the meter, probes and temperature sensor together and dust-free. Some people might find the auto backlight useful, but I prefer the on/off button, which is why it's in my cons column. I prefer this HP 770T meter over the HP 770HC meter because it doesn't have those yellow probe blockers. But these port blockers are good at the counter that you can lend to others. I really had to be careful not to break the stand on the back of the meter when inserting the batteries. This is a VERY weak point for these gauges. A $23 accurate digital multimeter for occasional use at home, in the car, or in the workshop. 5 Stars!
