Review on Drill America DEWEZS1 5 Qualtech Extractor by Steve Campbell

This Qualtech Screw Extractor Set, sizes #1-5 from Drill America is a very handy, compact set for removing stripped screws or broken screws. They are made from heat treated carbon steel so they are durable and should last forever with proper care. I keep my carbon steel tools lightly oiled to prevent rusting and they are virtually indestructible. The 5 extractors come in a small plastic bag so they are always together and ready to use. If you've never used a screw extractor before, this is a pretty easy process. There are many videos on YouTube that demonstrate this process very clearly. This particular set is designed to be used with a drill press. There are others that have a hole at the top so you can use them by hand, but this set isn't. You will also need a center punch, safety goggles, some cutting oil, an appropriately sized drill bit and some penetrating lubricant if the screw to be removed is rusty. All of these items (except for the drill) are fairly inexpensive and you can use them for other tasks. If you are doing any type of home renovation or DIY work, you need a screw extractor set and this is a good tool.
