Review on πŸ”§ Efficient Brake Caliper Pin/Bolt Remover Set - OTC (7302) by Ryan Pollock

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Superb craftsmanship, not for everyone

I couldn't figure out what they were used for and in fact I had a technician friend who also sat down and appreciated this tool. I can't recall a single Ford or GM vehicle requiring these brakes, especially since the slide pins are usually well lubricated or in rubber polymer bushings. In the early 1980's my Fords had lubricated pins that never stuck. In any event, if you somehow have a caliper system with pins that can get stuck, this tool is used to slip under the head of the bolt and you knock the pins out on the outside of the brake assembly. This reduces the chance of damaging the bolt/pin or anything else. Overall: 5/5 stars, very well made, but you will most likely not or never be able to use it.

Pros
  • Lots of positive vibes
Cons
  • Hard to tell
