Keep it up, competitors!

As many parents will tell you, you may have to kiss a whole bunch of frogs/buy a dozen bottles or leak-proof cups before you find your prince/perfect cup for your child. I was no exception. After a whole string of mugs that have leaked (a lot), spilled easily, been too hard to drink, too easy to drink, lids were too easy to open etc etc I may have found the perfect mug with this one . Maybe I can save someone else a whole bunch of bucks by trying this one first. Here's why I liked it: - Easy to drink -> brands NUK and Playtex and some others I bought required the baby to bite and suck at the same time, which made drinking difficult. I suspect this was done to prevent leakage but my baby didn't like it and she started drinking less. With NUK, liquid also collects at the top of the straw, so that when you close the lid by pressing down on the straw, this liquid splashes onto your new blouse. - Sealed lid is easy to open and close -> Many other mugs have used the same mechanism. A strip of plastic had to be pulled down to bend the straw down. Often this was ineffective and liquid left in the straw dripped onto you. They weren't always tight either, and when you open them again, the straw snaps back violently and liquid is splattered again, which inevitably gets into your eyes. This mug has a full lid which is clean and doesn't crush the straw in the same way so no problem. The button is easy to operate even for a child.- Form factor that is easy to store and hold -> There is also a stainless steel version but I prefer the transparent version as it is so easy to check how much is left and when I need replenishment. I love that it doesn't have handles so it slides easily into the side of my Daddygear backpack. Some mugs are quite squat with large handles, making them difficult to use. It was believed that these cups were meant to be easier for a child to hold. This cup is still very easy for my child to hold even without the round, flat shape and the handles. Thanks to this very affordable option, I can finally stop buying different mugs in search of the perfect one. My mug cemetery, consisting of at least a dozen different mugs, can finally be buried. They stand on my kitchen window sill and look like colorful tombstones. What an eyesore to finally get rid of.
