Like all my Solomons, they are suitable for love, meaning dreams straight out of the box. No cracks, no blisters. I noticed that these shoes are stiffer than trail running shoes. This provides excellent support for the entire foot and ankles. You are less likely to twist your ankle. The soles have an aggressive style that's great for traction on wet or slick surfaces without slipping. They definitely feel very stable when hiking in unstable terrain.
