This fiberglass blanket worked really well for welding my truck's suspension. Sturdy and big enough to get the job done in odd areas of the floor. When working with fiberglass materials it is recommended to wear a respirator, long sleeves and gloves as this leaves some fiberglass and associated itchiness if you are sensitive to it. It has small burn marks but that protects the areas around you. This does not fully protect against burns from hot splashes and is considered a consumable item. The sparks didn't burn through the surface, but there were small spots on it, as expected. There were no burns in the MIG or FLUX processes. A great part of your welding gear!
