Works like a charm - MUST be mechanically inclined to install this kit!

I installed this kit on my 2019 Jeep Grand Cherokee (no factory hitch/wiring). Hiding the mass of wiring and extra connectors behind the driver's side taillight and attaching the taillight mounting brackets took some work - it took a few tries to get it right. I used a split harness cover in my setup to provide extra protection for the long positive wire that needs to run forward under the car - it was very difficult to route the wire inside the harness cover but I'm glad I did I've taken the extra time to do this - my Jeep's wiring harnesses (like almost every other car) come factory fitted in split wiring harness covers to protect them, so I thought it would be a good idea to emulate what the manufacturer does has done. If you are installing this kit in a Jeep Grand Cherokee please note that the battery is installed in a compartment under the passenger seat and there is an aluminum stand under the hood (used to start the car if necessary) which works great. Connect the positive cable from the wiring harness kit to the attachment point. The wire provided was just long enough to reach - they cut it precisely when designing this kit. Take your time and plan your under-car wiring carefully before you begin - it will save you time and hassle. I also used zip ties to secure everything in place and prevent the wiring from contacting hot/moving components under the car. Also, make sure you have a crimping tool and electrical tape handy before you start - some connections will be needed. If you are a mechanically inclined person, you can successfully install this kit. Wear safety goggles as a lot of dirt and debris will come loose from under the car as you work and take your time with the installation. If you don't like crawling under your car, cutting and splicing wires, taking things apart and putting them back together, getting lots of small cuts on your hands from sharp edges under your car, etc - you absolutely must install this kit. professional.
