My girlfriend has very small feet so the adjustable feature (works well) was the main reason we chose these skates. However, the lower ankle strap is attached with Velcro and will not snap like the upper strap. No matter how hard you pull on the bottom strap, you won't get the support you need; Both the mesh boot and bottom strap are stretchable. I've been skating for over 30 years now and I have to say that while the soft shell inline skates look and perform well, they are horrible in design. I had the same issue with my 3WD Microblade and will be returning both that and my skates. Spend a little more and get a sturdy boot!
