Review on Soft Bamboo Pajama Set For Women With Long Sleeves And Comfy Lounge Pants - HXG Sleepwear In Sizes S-4X by Julie Smith

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Soft, smooth & comfortable light-weight sleepwear, fabric is a bit too thin + pricey.

These are beautifully made pajamas. I am 5'4" tall and wear a size 14. According to the size guide, sizes 12 & 14 are a size XL, and sizes 14 & 16 are a size XXL. I have a similar set of pajamas from this brand (the version with the lace trim at the neck and sleeves that for some reason are much less expensive than these) that I ordered in size XXL because I want a roomy fit. They turned out to be very generously sized, so I went with size XL this time to see which would work out better for me. These pjs fit very well -- they are close-fitting but not snug. The sleeves are just the right length for me although the length of the legs is a bit long. The waist is a bit high, but not uncomfortably so, and there is a functional drawstring to cinch it in a bit more, if needed. The bamboo fabric is a fine-gauged knit and is light-weight with good elasticity. It feels very soft and smooth, but is not flimsy or clingy. It has a lovely drape. The pajamas are very well made with top-notch stitching and nicely finished seams. The ribbon trim is a lovely accent. These pjs aren't warm enough for me to wear in the winter and I will stick to my heavy flannels, but I do think they would be fine for the rest of the year. They are quite comfortable to wear, and they are breathable and the cut is flattering. However, the thin, light fabric + the trim fit accentuates any figure flaws. I am glad I chose the purplish grey color which is quite dark and helps disguise any problems. I like the violet and light grey colors available, too. If I was to re-order these pjs in one of those light colors, I would probably go with the larger size to skim over those imperfections. The pajamas launder well -- I wash them in a mesh bag in cold water and a gentle cycle followed by line drying. They don't twist out of shape and there is no pilling. I like the pjs and the bamboo fabric is very nice, but the current price of $59.99 does seem a bit high to me. In all honesty, if I was going to pay this much, I would go with cotton which is my absolute favorite for sleepwear.
