The children's bike was too small.
I had a bit of trouble fitting this to my kids bike. The biggest problem seemed to be not getting enough sleep due to the holidays, but seriously, the metal tube on my son's bike that you have to attach it to was too small. I got it working but it's not as durable as I'd like and as a result it's not as loud as I was hoping. I plan to make adjustments, hope this helps. Aside from the problem with the bike, that's due to a number of replacement mufflers, which I found very good.
