2006 Lincoln Navigator Fix, Trailer Discontinued LOL

Good! It's annoying when people write 5 word reviews so I'm writing a real review for this product. We have a 2006 Lincoln Navigator and none of the latch buttons work and have for a while. Yes, only with the help of key fobs and an external keyboard. Okay, we bought this item and decided to give it a try. Now YouTube videos said we had to remove the door panel, but a couple of people checking said they did it without removing the panel. We chose this because it seemed much easier. Take a thin but strong screwdriver, but check the new lock to see how the latch under the button works. If you try to pry it off, the button itself will likely pop out, leaving you with the locking mechanism itself. Eventually you'll snap those tabs on the old Switch, but it'll come out clean. Important, just take your time and you will. Be sure to put it back in the correct orientation. That means pushing up unlocks. You will most likely see corrosion on the old switch as soon as you pull it out. Simply unplug the cable connector and plug in the new switch. Once you've confirmed it's working, plug it back in and you're done. It took us about 10 minutes but we didn't know what we were doing either. It's magic, no more keychains for everything. Ordered another switch to make another door. Just a note, the other things we replaced fairly easily are the hood and rear window lifters. Plus rear 3rd upper taillight. Yes, of course, those damn shock absorbers have switched to struts. No, we don't have to worry anymore. Don't skimp, we did just that, but then we had to choose the main brand where you can find artisans. OK, I hope this helped.
