I was thrilled when I read the description. To test this, I vacuumed half the floor and didn't vacuum the other half. First I tried it on the suctioned part. Not a single hair. Then I tried several punches from different directions. A hair. Then I tried the non-vacuum side. He raised maybe 20 hairs. So I kept trying this side at different angles but it didn't lift a lot of hair. Not enough to get together or even dust off. Only a few got stuck in the stubble. Very disappointing. I got very close to the carpet and saw that where I didn't vacuum there was a lot of hair and where I vacuumed there was no hair. My recommendation if you think you need it; Get the best vacuum. I have a professional Shark rotator with pet attachments. If I can't see excess hair from my vacuum, this broom won't remove it. In addition, his head was very thin and difficult to hold on the carpet, and the handle seemed very thin. I didn't extend it to the end so as not to break it.
