Make sure you have a full time machine backup, install the operating system via recovery, but do not restore from time machine before you have installed the operating system. If your recovery operating system does not match your Time Machine backup operating system, you will get an error during the process. Successfully restored a few hours later. Now via SSD. I haven't seen anything close to 950 MBps. the maximum I've seen is 450-700 max. I'm using an MBP 13"i7 from early 2015. I've noticed excessive battery drain after this install. The battery only lasts about 2 hours while I'm on my OEM -SSD took 5-6 hours without any problems.I've tried all the troubleshooting methods mentioned on the web, resetting PRAM, NVRAM, etc. are still the same.They both work with what seems to be the same amp and voltage, but for some reason Transcend is consuming more. Do not recommend this drive. Spend another $100 and get an OEM 512GB.
