Review on 🌱 Kikkerland Potted Pen Phone Stand - SC25: Enhance Your Desk Setup with a Unique Accessory by Maria Campbell

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Does not fit most current smartphones.

I was very excited to get this in the mail as another purchase from Buzzfeed Revain's list as it looked cute and functional and I was hoping that the electronics situation in our living room would be somewhat organized. Upon arrival I was surprised at how light and somewhat cheap it looked but I hoped people wouldn't look too closely as it's pretty obvious the weed isn't real (duh). It also doesn't hold the iPhone on its side as advertised, unless it's an iPhone 5s or lower. An iPhone 6, 6s or [God forbid] 6+ just won't fit, even if you remove the protective case that covers it. I've tried propping it up vertically, but the grass sticks out too much and the phone could just fall into that position. It keeps the pens in the grass (if it's a light and cheap pen) and I use the channel to store my ring and other small items for one on my bedside table (I ordered two). If you have a good paddock that's light, it just falls off and falls out of the grass. But that's okay, because it's still a bit cheesy and cute, and we get comments about what's in the living room. It can also hold phone cords by tucking them in the grass if you want to control the mess of cords on the side table coming out of your multiport charger. The one on my nightstand is the one I use to charge my iWatches as it sticks to the "grass" and stays in place as long as I don't push it too hard. I also have a habit of putting various hair ties on the grass when I'm too lazy to tidy them up. So if you don't mind shelling out $10-$11 for a cheesy sphere that fits small parts, or you have a phone the size of an iPhone 5 or smaller, then this is perfect for you.
