Long time user - works as advertised
They work well. Unless your city water is contaminated with chlorine and you don't drink a lot of water from a jug, you can probably get by with replacing the cartridges at intervals longer than once a month. Note: Even though the instructions don't specify it with this "Advanced" model, I still soak the new cartridge in the bottom of the pitcher for a few minutes before the first refill and then throw away the first pitcher full of water because of random charcoal particles is a bit greyish.
