I REALLY wanted this to work as it is one of only 2 consumer oriented routers I could find with 2 multi port ports. I bought it to take advantage of my recently upgraded modem speed and new Qnap NAS. After a very difficult setup I was able to go online. My internet speed was off the charts and it worked flawlessly. The speed of my brand new QNap has also doubled. both use QHora 2.5+ ports. But the love ended quickly. First, the 5GHz signal range is very weak. Due to the pandemic, my wife and I are critical of both WAH and a strong, steady signal. The signal could no longer reach our bedroom. Also, QHora's inability to work with wireless printers was a big problem. The deal breaker for me was that I couldn't get it to work with Roon and the extensive streaming system I have at home. I have a combination of Sonos, Kef and Lumin and Qhora just doesn't work. I first tried contacting QNap tech support via live chat and it was a terrible experience. After being "close" for three hours, I quit the chat and waited a day. I then tried to start the chat again and after going from 2 to 1 to 'next' I sat in the 'next' queue again for 2 hours with new information visible to let me know how my estimated waiting time would be. Finally I gave up again. I decided to call QNap support and spoke to Lok who answered immediately. He was incredibly friendly and seemed to really know his craft. This "personal" care was really first class. Especially in contrast to Netgear support, who I used to spend a week with trying to figure out exactly what the bottleneck in my router was. That experience actually led me to this router. But it was all for nothing. No matter what tech support tried, the system didn't work with Roon and my local NAS. As much as I loved the sheer speed, the weak 5GHz signal, printer issues, and incompatibility with Roon were just too hard to overcome. So unfortunately I will be returning the device and going back to my Netgear Nighthawk. Even with a single bottleneck of a few gigabytes, it supports my entire home network perfectly. My search will continue.
