Review on Rubbermaid Filtration Bottle Filter 1784122 by Souly Buddy

This is the filter I bought with my bottle. Yes, the same bottle as in the photo, with this filter. This is the wrong filter! Even if you see exactly what you need in the picture (screw cap), you will receive another filter without a screw cap. If you read the description, "ring" is mentioned. This attachment method will not work on these bottles. I bought the bottle and replacement filter 2 years ago; I can't believe this bug hasn't been fixed yet! In fact, I finally wanted to use my replacement filters and realized everything was wrong. Of course it's too late to go back. Really stupid and very annoying! I still don't know what filter to order to get what I need. Because it's not quite right. Argh.Update (Because it only gets worse): Apparently the green bottles use helix filters while the others use a loop filter. (So weird.) They don't make green bottles or screw-on filters anymore. Anyone who needs a screw filter is obviously out of luck. I have ordered another bottle (blue) which would actually use the filters of which I currently have 4. I've always liked the bottle and was willing to buy another to get on with my life. After reading the reviews and understanding all this, I ordered a water meter. My 2 year old green bottle and filter performed better than this new blue bottle and filter! Not believing the numbers on the meter, I bought distilled water. The counter showed 0 as it should. Then I poured distilled water into a blue bottle, poured into a glass, and it was 54. That's right! The filter was actually adding crap to the water. Serious? I just wanted a damn screw filter. Ouch.
