The Wife Loves It is suitable for water filtration and softening

The title set speaks for itself. As we know, nobody is happy when mom is unhappy. :) I bought this bottle because we live in the country and while I like the taste of our water, my wife doesn't like our water as it's soft. It's not too salty, but in any case, as they say, mileage may vary. I didn't think it made sense to buy a reverse osmosis system for our house (yet) or a jug of filtered water. It seemed like a good replacement. My wife doesn't really complain; The only downside she says is…

ATTENTION: RUBBERMAID END ALL PERSONAL WATER BOTTLES WITH FILTERS

I got this bottle because of its high ratings and really liked its usage and water filtration quality. However, the replacement filters I ordered from Amazon, which were supposed to fit this bottle, didn't fit. These were supposedly "novelty" filters that connected to the bottle differently, but clearly didn't fit the bottle. I called Rubbermaid to find out what was going on and the rep there told me they first changed filters for a while and then discontinued the entire bottle line in 2013…

New filter design covered in mold

As previous reviewers have noted, Rubbermaid has redesigned the filter to match this personalized filter bottle. My guess is that since the filter was on the inside rim of the bottle, the new filter was designed so that the bottle could be filled without changing the position of the filter. Unfortunately, the new design allows unfiltered water to enter the mouthpiece and allows standing water to collect around the filter, leading to mold growth. Leak: good. This bottle will not leak when the…

Replaced pom pom with this one and love it

I drink a lot of water but don't like the taste of our tap water, plus I like to have a bottle with me when I leave the house (the reduction is MUCH less when I stop for a soda or other sugary drink to keep hydrated). I had the bobble, but getting the water out was almost impossible, and when the lid accidentally closed, it was almost an act of Congress to open it again. not expire. As with any water bottle, it will sweat if you put ice in it and it's hot outside. I solved that by getting a…

Improves the taste of tap water. Easy to use squeeze bottle.

Disclaimer: I've only had this 1 day. But so far I'm very happy with this water bottle. The reviews here are very mixed. Many complain about the filter change. I don't know what was changed, but I got a bottle with a filter that fits between the bottle and the cap. It only snaps into place when the cap is screwed on. You can fill the filter bottle in place as there are gaps on the sides that allow water to flow past the filter and into the bottle. I used it for about 40 ounces of water (2…

I don't know what other people's problem is.

Good to solve a few common problems: - It doesn't leak. It doesn't leak when you drink from it or when it's closed. Even if you press it and it's closed. It's not difficult to drink from unless you're a kid. It may be difficult for a five-year-old to drink from, but a five-year-old will also be pleased with the amount that comes out when not squeezed. No, you can't suck out the water, but you knew that. All water is filtered! I repeat, everything is filtered! Holes on the edge of the filter…

Really stupid and very annoying

This is the filter I bought with my bottle. Yes, the same bottle as in the photo, with this filter. This is the wrong filter! Even if you see exactly what you need in the picture (screw cap), you will receive another filter without a screw cap. If you read the description, "ring" is mentioned. This attachment method will not work on these bottles. I bought the bottle and replacement filter 2 years ago; I can't believe this bug hasn't been fixed yet! In fact, I finally wanted to use my…

good bottle, decent filter

Previous reviews convinced me to buy this product and I have no regrets. The bottle was only a week or so, but hey, it's Rubbermaid. I've been using their puff bottles for about a decade now and none of them have worn out, not even the moving parts or straws! I don't know why they call it a 20 ounce bottle; refill holds 22 ounces with filter; I can drink almost all of it and have less than half an ounce left when I need to refill. It doesn't take a lot of force to squeeze, especially when I'm…

Pros
  • Excellent water chlorine remover
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging

I bought a couple of these for about $10 each. actually only 5. I love that they remove the taste of chlorine from the city's tap water so the tap water tastes very similar to Dasani. I stopped drinking bottled water after reading about all the chemicals that leak into water from cheap plastic, especially when left in hot cars. It's also cheaper than the $10 a month I spent on bottled water. The filters last 3 months and cost about $3 each (sold in packs of 2). The bottle is dishwasher safe. I…
