Review on πŸ’‘ Enhancing Bedroom Lighting with Homelek Equivalent Lumens Kelvin by Andrew Frison

Revainrating 3 out of 5

good light but bad structure - material defects detected

Light output and color were good and as advertised; However, after careful installation in the bathroom vanity and several fixtures, I noticed a year later that the plastic base material on 4 of the 6 vanity lights was cracked. They haven't been overtightened and haven't been touched since they were installed, so it sounds like poor material choices or poor quality. Definitely not something I would keep or recommend. I wondered if there was something wrong with the lamp itself - an overheating issue, for example - but with our table lamp, which received the same bulbs and is very rarely used, we also found signs of cracking around its base. (I didn't see this crack-like bug originally as it was hidden under a lampshade.) I've bought replacement bulbs (of a different brand) for about the same price and haven't encountered any of these issues yet. Over the last 3-5 years we have replaced various types of bulbs with LED bulbs and out of the many brands and styles we have bought and used, this Homelek brand is the only one that has this material defect. Disappointing because otherwise it looks like a good replacement bulb and as you know LED replacement bulbs don't come very cheap. I recommend looking for a similar or cheaper brand with high reviews.
